Kanab Utah
This was the rock wall on the outside of the cave, looking up. |
After a few setting adjustments, and my tripod, I was able to get several good, clear shots. |
Each rock wall is unique in color and texture. |
I thought I'd add a fun one! This was looking out from the inside of the cave. |
Coral Pink Sand Dunes in Kanab Utah
The sand dunes at sunset. I love the soft light of the evening! |
The strong winds made for interesting and beautiful clouds. This one almost looks like an erupting volcano |
Evening shadows from the ripples in the sand |
The wood in these old fallen trees were polished smooth also. It really brought out the unique colors and patterns in each one. |
This photograph was taken after the sun had set. It's funny how the color of the sand changed with the light. They really do look pink! Maybe that's how they got the name? |
I wanted to get a close shot of the blowing sand. What I really got, was a face full of blowing sand! I decided to post it anyway to somehow make it all worth while. |
Such beautiful smooth sand! Not a track anywhere but the occasional lizard or bird ( and my own of course ) |
The last few moments of light from the setting sun. |
Ripples in the sand |
Dried vegetation from last season seemed to fit perfectly in the dry blowing sand of the desert |
The evening light brings out the warm colors and beautiful shadows. I think it's the most peaceful time of the day, if only it would last just a little bit longer! |
