Struggle for Life

I've always been drawn to the beauty of lines, textures and patterns in nature.  A lot of the time, the most beautiful come from natures harshest landscapes.  Where life has to struggle to survive.   I find that same beauty in people as well.  I love the quote by Khalil Gibran ~  "Out of suffering have emerged the strongest souls;  The most massive characters are seared with scars.

~A glimpse of one of my most recent projects~
I was commissioned by a sculptor who is currently lecturing about his work with 'The Bristlecone Pine Tree'. My assignment; to document the subject matter of his work.  What an amazing tree...what a fun adventure!  I LOVE my job!

Slot Canyons

One of my favorite places to explore in southern Utah are the slot canyons.  These dramatic landscapes are amazing to see, and make beautiful photographs.  The colors and textures of the rock, carved out by rushing flood waters, are one of mother natures spectacular masterpieces.
